My name is Andrew Hahn.
I’m a professional bagpipe player and teacher in Southern California.
Need a Piper?
I might know a guy!

Whether to add a bit of prestige, celebrate heritage, or just because it brings a certain type of party atmosphere, bagpipes have been an integral part of many a wedding ceremony spanning classes and cultures for over a century. I would be more than honored to add something special to your big day!
-
The most recognizable role for a Piper, honoring the dead, is one of our oldest traditions.
Once the Highland Regiments were officially adopted into the British Military in the mid-1800s, this ritual became one of the foremost duties of both military and civilian Pipers across the world.
As such, whether graveside, spreading ashes, a wake, church service, or being buried with honors, it’s a privilege to draw from my years of experience to bring a touch of reverence to your loved one’s farewell.
-
The bagpipes are designed for sustained sound, and in fact behave more kindly to their player (me) while played for longer sessions. Therefore, parties and similar events are some of my favorites to perform for, especially with a casual atmosphere!
If you’re after something more formal, ask about booking a Recital. This is very much like booking a concert, except it’s just for you and yours! A Recital allows me to truly show you the breadth of music bagpipes can play from slow “classical” and funeral pieces, to up-tempo marches and dances.

I take students of all ages and experience levels in both online and in-person sessions.
